November 2021 Update
Welcome, drifters! At the end of the October 2021 Update, I mentioned that I would continue tools development by revisiting the two tools that were once bundled under the Graphics Tester: a tilemap editor and an animator. I’m happy to report that both tools were rebooted in the past month!
Honestly, there is so much to speak about in regard to each of them, so I plan on dedicating a few blog posts outside of the monthly updates to discuss them more in-depth. For the time being, you can see a snapshot of them in action with the screenshots below.
Grandline Saloon interior recreated in the DD Tilemap Editor 0.1.0.
The Drifter’s idle animation created in the DD Animator 0.1.1.
I also plan on tweeting some bite-sized showcases of features found in both of these tools. If you don’t want to miss these, be sure to follow Drifter Dynasty on Twitter if you aren’t already.
Three months, three tools. This has truly been a productive period of auxiliary developments, but now I’m ready to return to the main game! This coming month, I plan to rewrite and optimize most of Drifter Dynasty‘s combat, so look forward to an even more engaging way to tussle with your foes. Until next time, stay well and drift on!
